Macau's Casinos Beat Las Vegas in Revenue
20, February 2007
According to President and Chief Operating Officer of Las Vegas Sands Corp William Weidner Macau is out earning Las Vegas, on its way to becoming the new gambling and casino capital of the world. COO Weidner said this and more in a statement on Monday, pointing out that the Venetian is going to be the former Porteguese colony's first mega resort, combining the draw of the casinos with restaurants and night spots, brining in more than just gamblers but families looking for a great vacation. According to Weidner Macau's gambling revenue has passed Las Vegas' revenue, and should double again by the year 2010.
