Sands Casino a Ripe Fruit for the Picking
05, September 2006
Could the Sands Casino in Atlantic City be up for sale? While there are no signs being hung on the front doors or ads placed in the local swap section of the newspaper, industry experts have an inkling that the 26-year-old casino could be switching owners soon. The most likely buyer was the recently denied Pinnacle Entertainment Inc, who lost a bid to obtain the Tropicana casinos (both in Las Vegas and Atlantic City) last spring. There are no words from the decision makers at the Sands, one of the smaller of the gambling destinations on the Boardwalk in Atlantic City, nor are the executives at Pinnacle speaking up, but the experts say they have heard the talk of a potential $250 buy out happening in the future.
