Trump's Casino Bid Linked to $300 Million Trump Tower
15, May 2006
Donald Trump likes to put his name on things, as evidenced from the many Trump addresses in New York and other major cities in the US, and Philadelphia may soon be added to the list. Plans for a $300 million residential tower (Philadelphia Trump Tower is the name) were recently unveiled, and some think that a large motivator behind the project is Trump's desire to land a casino license for construction nearby.
The race for one of a few Philadelphia casino licenses has been widely covered, and the decision to invest so much money in infrastructure to the city may swing things Trump's way. The proposed Trump Tower would sell luxury condos; 263 in a 45-story building, with prices ranging from $700,000 to $3.5 million.
